Designed for project managers, project leaders and project coordinators who wish to gain the basic level recognition of their skills by taking the PRINCE2® Foundation examination.

The PRINCE2 qualification is now established as an external competence measure by leading organisations around the world.

Following the standard syllabus issued by the PRINCE2 Examinations Board, it focuses on the PRINCE2 framework, themes, processes and principles.

COURSE CONTENT

Will cover:

• Each of the 7 Processes, 7 Themes and 7 Principles described in the PRINCE2 manual
• Practical work to bring the method to life
• PRINCE2 Foundation examination

THE EXAM

This level is aiming to measure whether a candidate would be able to act as an informed member of a project management team using the PRINCE2 method within a project environment supporting PRINCE2.  To this end they need to show they understand the principles and terminology of the method, specifically, candidates must be able to:

• Describe the purpose and major content of all roles, the seven themes and the seven processes
• State which management products are input to, and output from the processes
• State the main purpose, and key contents, of the major management products
• State the relationships between processes, deliverables, roles and the management dimensions of a project

Format

• Multiple-choice
• One hour duration
• 70 questions
• 35 correct answers are required to pass
• Closed-book
