Lean Six Sigma management approach removes waste and reduces variations with the collaborative team effort. The Yellow Belt course provides competency in DMAIC model. DMAIC model stands for Define, Model, Analyse, Improve and Control. The aspirants who wish to be part of Lean Six Sigma team should take this course.


After completing training, you can sit for the Lean Six Sigma examination. The examination consists of 40 multiple choice questions. You have to get 70% marks to pass the exam. The duration of exam is 1 hour and is an open book.

Lean Six SIgma

What is Lean Six Sigma?

  • Lean Six Sigma is a combined approach of Lean and Six Sigma. The lean methodology includes eliminating seven types of Muda. Six Sigma focuses on improving the quality of processes by reducing defects and minimizing variability.
  • Lean focuses on continuity of flow by evaluating links between process steps. Six Sigma focuses on to lessen the variations by enabling iterative improvements.

The Green Belt professionals are senior to Yellow Belt professionals. Black Belt is the top most level. Yellow Belt professionals contribute in project development as a team member. They can also be part of project development team. 

What is DMAIC model?

DMAIC is Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control which are five phases of the model. It is that model on which Lean Six Sigma is based.
