Watford is a city located 17 miles away from the northwest of central London. This city is situated on the river Colne. Watford is very near to the orbital M25 and the M1 which connects the London with the Midlands and the North.

 Printing became the biggest industry in Watford in 1920s. The very important international 2006 World Golf Championship and the 2013 Bilderberg Conference were held at The Grove. Watford is the Centre of several head offices. Watford was addressed by the name of major sub-regional Centre by the Hertfordshire County Council.

 Watford was originated as an urban district in 1894 but it becomes a municipal borough in 1922. Its population was 90,301 in 2011, whereas in 2006, the population was approximately 6,500. So, there was a fast increment in the population with time.   

 Watford was famous for agriculture community for many years but with the industrial revolution, the Grand Junction Canal and the London and Birmingham Railway were constructed to reach the Chiltern Hills easily. Watford is considered as the local authority in which mayor is considered as the head. Watford mayor is one of the 18 elected mayors of England.         

   Attractions:

Ten conservative areas including Grade II Listed Park are located in the Watford. Two rivers the River Grade and the River Colne passes through the city. The only private school of the city is Stan Borough School whose administration is under Seventh-Day Adventist Church. There is no regular bus service Watford and Luton. The oldest running air cadet flight of the world, 2f is in Watford. Many private charter companies are located in the Elstree Aerodrome of the Watford which is at a distance of 3 miles away from the east of the town.  The main film studio of the city is Leaves den which is around 4 kilometres away from the town Centre.
