PRINCE2® Practitioner Re-Registration 3 days

About this course

Why should you get requalified with PRINCE2?

John Edmonds, Head of Traing at pearcemayfield and one of the PRINCE2 authors, explain.

Your PRINCE2® Practitioner certification only lasts for five years. The certification body requires certificate holders to demonstrate continued mastery of the Method.

If you wish to retain this valuable qualification you need only sit a one-hour re-registration examination. This can be re-sat any time between three and five years after gaining the certification last time.

Nevertheless, with the passage of time:

  • Practitioners forget and need their recall refreshed on classic PRINCE2, and
  • PRINCE2 may have been revised and updated.
  • PRINCE2 continues to be enhanced and improved.

In 2009 we saw a major new edition of PRINCE2 published with changes that reflect practitioner experience. pearcemayfield was the only accredited training organisation in the world that provided a member of the authoring team, John Edmonds, for this update.

We take you from your current level of experience and recall of the method to re-registration readiness in three days. We work with you in a workshop format that builds on where you are and is flexible enough to explore individual and group questions.

We find that in the Workshop delegates often value a session on questions and problems they have encountered in applying PRINCE2 in practice. You will be given the opportunity of raising real issues in the context of preparing for the Re-registration exam - working on their resolution.

Who is it for?

Anyone holding a current PRINCE2 Practitioner Certificate that is at least three years old.

We strongly recommend you spend time working through them, by doing this, you will familiarise yourself with the latest manual and any changes that may have occurred since you last sat the Practitioner exam.

"Trainer - Excellent & motivational delivery, engaging and interesting. Thank You!" Delegate

“Trainers are well informed, provide useful and relevant examples and are prepared to tailor the course to the needs of the attendees.” K.T. Delegate

“The personal touch of having face to face training is a real plus. Also the expertise of the trainers is crucial - they are able to draw on their own experiences to bring the training to life. Precious time was spent highlighting important parts of the book and as a reflector I didn't have time to assimilate the point of what I was highlighting as we went through it so quickly.  I suggest that either the book comes pre-highlighted or with a separate document outlining the key bits to highlight - before you attend the course.”  Rebecca Sutherland

Apart being ready to take the Re-Registration exam, by the end of the workshop you will be:

•  Fully conversant with the latest version of PRINCE2

•  Able to access expert consultancy on practical PRINCE2 issues on your own projects.

The workshop focuses on the latest syllabus and the latest version of PRINCE2. It will include a refresh of the following elements:

  • Principles

  • The Process Model

  • Themes

  • Tailoring PRINCE2

  • The OTE Exam Format

The Re-Registration Exam is designed as follows:

  • Objective test format (not essay)

  • Scenario-based

  • 3 questions, 10 marks per question
